Women's Space at Labrador The Women's Space @ Labrador encourages women to enjoy a safe and socially inclusive space. All groups are free to join.

The Women’s Space at Labrador encourages women to enjoy a safe and socially inclusive space. This unique environment allows women from diverse cultures and backgrounds to come together in a positive and supportive atmosphere. We offer free programs and groups Monday- Friday and women are also welcome to drop in to relax, chat and have a cup of tea/coffee. We also offer free 1:1 support where the n

eed arises. The support we can provide is as varied as the issues presented. If you think you might need more support, give us a call and speak to an intake officer to make a referral. Other services include and are not limited to; Community based Midwifery services, events and fundraisers

Join us for a creative wellbeing activity "Nature and Nurture," led by Shameera from Expanse OT, to reflect on your connection to the natural world while drawing and painting using natural materials like pinecones, leaves, branches, and flowers.

This workshop supports social and wellbeing connections in a relaxing environment.

Our Story

The Women’s Space @ Labrador offers opportunities to make new connections with other women and participate in groups such as Art, French, Meditation, Spanish, Yoga, Card Making, Women’s Circles, Support Groups and Sewing. We provide tea/coffee and biscuits and have a library of books, DVD’s and jigsaws for you to borrow. We welcome you to come and have a cuppa and chat with us at any time.

We encourage women to enjoy a safe and socially inclusive space, learn new skills, build self-confidence, and embrace diversity.

The Women’s Space @ Labrador is run by The Benevolent Society, a not for profit, non-religious, registered charity and we are supported by a steering committee with members from many local community groups and services.

While we are not a refuge, we can support you to find the services that you need.
