Hello everyone! It’s been a busy few months for our brigade, with a variety of callouts across the state. We’ve attended a wide range of incidents and have continued building our experience using CAFS (Compressed Air Foam) on different types of fires.

We’re also continuing to work closely alongside the Winkleigh fire brigade, strengthening our teamwork and response capabilities.

Thank you to our dedicated volunteers for their ongoing commitment and hard work! 🚒

This year we celebrated our Christmas party with Winkleigh Fire Brigade - a great way to wrap up the year. (See what we did there)

We also took the opportunity to present a range of awards, including the Tasmania Operations Medal, the infamous Mishap of the Year, and several long service recognitions. A special mention goes to Brigade Chief Liam for 30 years of service, along with James for taking out the unforgettable “Why did you run over those kids’ ball?” award.

Thanks to everyone for the support throughout the year - we’ll see you again shortly with Santa 🎅🎄

Attention locals - don’t forget that Santa will be doing the annual lolly run this weekend around the Glengarry area!

Despite the cooler weather, it’s still been busy for our brigade recently! We’ve had a variety of callouts keeping us on our toes, including a vehicle fire, vegetation fires, car accidents, and several other fire-related incidents.

We’d also like to congratulate several of our volunteers who have recently completed training courses, including the three members who successfully obtained their truck licences. Fantastic effort by all! 👏

And for those asking… yes, details for our annual Lolly Run will be released very soon! 🍬🚒

Thanks for your ongoing support, and as always — take care out there

As part of our resource sharing arrangement, we recently teamed up with the Winkleigh Brigade for a joint training night. Crews got involved in a range of hands-on exercises, including thermal imaging camera use, pumping drills, and appliance and equipment familiarisation.

A big thanks to everyone who took part!
