HARRIS, Stephen Andrew. Aged 58 years. Late of Monto and formerly of Gin Gin. Passed away peacefully at Monto on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. Beloved husband of Jewel Leanne Rapley. Dearly loved son of Alec and Hazel Harris (both deceased). Loved brother and brother-in-law of Graham Harris, Peter Harris, Mary Harris, Jodie Harris and loved uncle of Connar, Samantha, Brock, Tory, Lachlan.

Tirroan RFB members and a few members from surrounding brigades were thanked for the great work during the recent fire, by the residents of Horse Camp with a luncheon at Tirroan shed today.
We would love to thank everyone who donated food, etc for the meal including our residents, IGA, Dollarwise, Kuskeys butcher, and anyone I haven't mentioned.
I special thanks to Jim and Robyn for the organising of the lunch.
It's lovely to be appreciated by our wonderful residents. Thanks again.

Tirroan RFB would like to sincerely thank Landcare Gin Gin for their generosity in donating a new gas stove for our Horse Camp shed. This will help our wonderful support team in cooking for us, when we have training or fires etc. Very much appreciated 👏

Notice of Local Fire Ban Extension

Please note that the Local Fire Ban that is currently in place for our Local Government Area of Bundaberg has been extended by another week to 2359hrs on Monday 03 November 2025.

Still patrolling the big fire west of Tableland and Nearum Rds. We have had a few flare ups to deal with, but definitely getting on top of it.

But this afternoon we had a fire call to Delaney's Rd. By the looks the fire started on the roadside. Thanks to Gin Gin 1st officer Adam for getting onto it quickly, that helped a lot. During this heat and wind that's happening at present, please, please be very careful, do not throw ci******es out of cars etc that could start a fire.

This could have been another fire that was hard the stop.
Please think about the consequences of your actions.
