Tomorrow is free dress day, wear yellow to support R U OK? Day.

Gold coin donation funds raised will be donated to the R U OK organisation, a su***de prevention charity.

Slushies and popcorn will also be available for purchase (cash) at recess 1.

As well as all the wonderful activities and entertainment happening throughout the evening, there will also be a raffle with some fantastic prizes up for grabs!

Be sure to bring along some loose change so you can purchase your raffle tickets and go into the draw. You never know—you might be one of our lucky winners!

Last year Stella Dwyer was nominated for the 2025 Wide Bay Sports Person of Year and was presented as the winner of this award last week whilst representing BDSSS at the Wide Bay Athletics tournament. This is awarded to an athlete who has competed at a high level often representing for Queensland in one or more sports. Stella is a fantastic athlete in a variety of sports including Cricket, Volleyball and Hockey and has won the GGSHS Sports Person of the Year for consecutive years.

Congratulations to Stella on this outstanding achievement!!!

What a fantastic way to celebrate Book Week at Gin Gin State High School! Our staff and students embraced the fun and dressed up as some of their favourite book characters.

It was wonderful to see everyone getting into the spirit of the day, with some very creative and impressive costumes on display! From beloved characters to imaginative creations, there was plenty of colour, creativity and fun around the school.

A big thank you to all our students and staff who joined in and helped make Book Week such a memorable celebration of books, reading and imagination!
