Last night, on our usual Tuesday training we ran a BA (breathing apparatus) training night. With a smoke machine positioned in an enclosed building our senior and BA qualified firefighters ran a complete simulation of responding to an incident that required a BA response. Our junior firefighters that aren’t BA qualified ran drills of hydrant and hose running. Thank you from the help of the regional office for providing a BA trailer which made this training night possible.

This week we celebrate Australia’s national volunteer week. We take this time to stop, and take a moment to appreciate the work that our dedicated volunteers do day in, day out.
