๐Ÿ“ข Heads up everyone, Mid West Ports Authority will be conducting sand bypassing works as part of their beach nourishment program from Monday 14 September.

More information regarding coastal processes is available on Mid West Ports Authority website: https://bit.ly/4A6gWu1

From Monday 14 September for approximately two weeks, we will be undertaking sand bypassing works as part of our beach nourishment program.

Sand from Pages Beach will be transported to targeted locations identified in collaboration with the City of Greater Geraldton including South Beresford, St George's and north Kempton St carpark.

Sand naturally moves along our coastline through the action of waves and currents - a process known as littoral transport. Sand bypassing helps return sand to the coastal system, allowing it to continue its journey towards the northern beaches and helping maintain healthy, resilient beaches.

Works will take place between the hours of 7.00am to 5.30pm and traffic management will be in place during this period to minimise the disruption to traffic in the area.

Thanks for your patience while these important coastal management works are being completed.
