Update on fire restrictions from Barongarook fire Brigade.

Good morning all, as the weather gets milder and the days shorter it is important to know that we are currently still in the “Gazetted” Fire season, restrictions are being lifted all around the state but we are still in the thick of it and no end date has been announced at this time, when restrictions are lifted I will certainly post it here and let you all know.
Cheers all and be safe Steve Brooke

P.S. If you have any questions please feel free to drop me a message and I will get back to you ASAP.

This fire fighting tank was only put in about 5 weeks before the fires. Since then it has a pretty good work out. A group of locals and the cfa Gellibrand worked very hard to get this up and running. Funding from Colac Otway shire and land gifted to the hall also made this possible.

Today we had a visit from the Lilydale brigade. I had met these wonderful firefighters after being here to assist saving our beautiful town and the Otways and today they were back with pet food for all our brigade volunteers. Thankyou so much for all you do. Loreen Misson presented them with a print of her painting she did of the fires. Don't forget to donate to your local brigade you might need them someday
