Fresh Choice Food CO-OP New Food Hub in Geevston servicing the Huon Valley and Kingston A new food hub is opening at Geeveston community centre.

The objectives of the food hub are to:
* Make access to fresh food easy and affordable for our local community
* Improve local food choice and accessibility to high quality fresh and nutritious food products
* To purchase from local suppliers when possible
* Engage our local community in conversations about healthy eating habits with a focus on increased daily intake of vegetables and other produc

* Encourage and support nutritional and food literacy in our local community
* Promote and support local access to fresh food through home gardening, school and community gardens and other food access initiatives
* Be accountable to our members,supporters and the community. The Fresh Choice Food Hub is one of several initiatives of the "Towards Sustainable Food Co-Ops" projects. Working towards addressing local household food security and encouraging community and social interactions around food. This project is funded by the Tasmanian Government and Neighbourhood Houses Tasmania.
