💛 R U OK? Day at Peacock Campus 💛

There was plenty of yellow around Peacock Campus today as everyone was encouraged to wear a splash of yellow and get involved in our R U OK? Day activities!

Students added their names and messages to our R U OK? canvas, had their faces painted, added a yellow ribbon to their hair, created their own R U OK? Day badge, captured some fun memories in the photo booth and even got to stamp a cookie! 🍪📸🎨

It was fantastic to see so many students getting involved, having fun and, most importantly, helping to spread the message that checking in with others really matters. 💛

Northern Bay P–12 College and CatholicCare Victoria’s Settle Well Program invite you to a special Human Library event on Thursday 17 September, 3:30–4:30pm at N Building, Goldsworthy Campus.

Hear from NBC and CCV Settle Well students as they share stories of their refugee journeys, culture and lived experiences.

Today is RU OK Day and we ask all students to wear a touch of yellow.
💛 How to have an R U OK? conversation:

1. Ask R U OK?
Start with an open question: “How have things been going lately?”

2. Listen.
Listen with an open mind. You don’t need to have all the answers or fix anything.

3. Encourage action.
Remind them of things that have helped in the past and encourage them to seek support if needed.

4. Check in.
Follow up to show you care. A simple check-in can make a big difference. 💛

💛 R U OK? Day Market Stall 💛

Our VM & VPC students held their R U OK? Day Market Stall at lunchtime today in the courtyard, and there was plenty of interest from both staff and students!

It was wonderful to see our students getting involved, raising awareness and bringing our college community together. 😊

Best of all, all proceeds will be donated to the Salvation Army. A fantastic effort by our VM & VPC students! 👏💛
