At Gunther Village, kindness is more than a word — it’s the heart of our community. 💛

This week, our beautiful residents shared what kindness means to them, and their heartfelt words remind us of the simple yet powerful ways we can make a difference every day. From “looking after people and yourself,” to “being kind to each other and encouraging one another,” and simply “something that’s nice,” their messages show that kindness can be found in both big gestures and the smallest everyday moments.

These wonderful reflections from Jeanette, Harvey, and Maren remind us that kindness connects us all — creating a place where compassion grows, friendships flourish, and everyone feels at home.

At Gunther Village, kindness truly lives here. 🌸💚

It was truly something special to share the rich spirit and beauty of our Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islander culture with our Gunther Village family. The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and connection as traditions came to life through vibrant dress, storytelling, dancing, food and heartfelt moments together.

Seeing our residents so engaged—clapping, smiling, and joining in—reminded us just how powerful culture can be in bringing people together. It wasn’t just a performance; it was a meaningful exchange, a celebration of identity, and a chance to create lasting memories.

Moments like these highlight the importance of community, respect, and sharing who we are. We feel incredibly proud and grateful to have been able to bring this experience to Gunther Village and to celebrate culture together as one.

I’d personally like to thank our wonderful staff who have volunteered their time to make this such a memorable and heartwarming celebration of culture. Kind regards, Jenny Thompson.

It was a truly special day out for our residents at Snakes Downunder Reptile Park, filled with sunshine, smiles, and a touch of adventure.

Surrounded by the beauty of the outdoors, everyone gathered together to enjoy the experience, sharing stories, laughter, and plenty of light-hearted moments. The highlight of the day was, of course, the incredible snakes. With a mix of curiosity and excitement, residents had the opportunity to get up close, some even bravely holding them, creating unforgettable memories and plenty of laughs along the way.

It was a day that brought joy, connection, and a sense of fun for all—one that will be fondly remembered for a long time.

There’s something truly special about watching our gentlemen head out for a day of fishing. With rods in hand and smiles on their faces, it’s more than just a trip — it’s a chance to reconnect with cherished memories, share stories, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

The laughter, the friendly competition, and the peaceful moments by the water remind us all how important these experiences are. Fishing brings a sense of freedom, purpose, and joy, and it’s wonderful to see our residents embracing every moment.

Days like these create lasting memories, strengthen friendships, and bring a sense of calm and happiness that stays long after the lines are packed away.

What a beautiful reminder that it’s never too late to enjoy the things you love. 🎣

Thank you Dale for helping to make this memory for Bill and Trevor.
