Premiers Reading Challenge - 2026

This years PRC has now finished. All students who completed their record sheets and our JP classes have been finalised and are in the system, a total of 176 students! Congratulations to them all.
Certificates and medals will be distributed when they arrive.
Thankyou for supporting students reading and encouraging them to enjoy books, any topic, any level, any genre is a great book.

Book Fair

Tomorrow afternoon is the last day to purchase from our Scholastic Book Fair. So many engaging books, and stationery items available.
Thank you to our families for your support with this event. We hope you have enjoyed it, as much as we have.
It will return next year for our Book Week Celebrations.

Our Fair starts tomorrow morning
8:15am - 8:45am
after school 3:00 - 3:30pm

Prices start at $3 for stationery items pens, erasers.
Books vary from $5, $7 onwards.
Poster $5
Box kits $25 onwards.

BOOK WEEK 2026

We are so excited to begin celebrating Book Week, From Tuesday 25th of August.
The library will have a display, to tie in with the Symphony of Stories theme where students will visit the library with their classes and enjoy the selection of books from the Australian Book Council.

Also these year brings the start of something new to our school, the "Scholastic Book Fair". This amazing display of picture, fiction and non fiction books, stationery, posters and much more will all be displayed and available to purchase, from Tuesday morning. Any sales from our Fair come back into the library via points, for us to purchase news books for our students to borrow and enjoy. We hope that you enjoy the week, dress up day and parade on Friday at our Gathering.

Pyjama Day Friday

This Friday 14th August we are having a Pyjama Day.

Students can wear warm pyjamas, and normal footwear.
Students who are not comfortable wearing pj's, but still wish to join in may wear trackies and a jumper. (Please note this is not a casual clothes day). If students could bring a gold coin donation that would be super, they can give it to their class teacher, to give to our Student Leaders who will be collecting it. Today we recognised our amazing Principal Mrs FB with a special presentation at the Gathering. Classes presenting her with some amazing art pieces, floral decorations, kind words and even a soccer ball, signed by the students. (The soccer fan that she is)

All these in recognition of her wonderful contribution to shaping the educational environment at GEPS, supporting teachers, sso's and guiding our students.

The music was pumping, the dance floor was packed and there was some seriously impressive (and perhaps a few questionable) dance moves on display at the GEPS disco!😆
There were smiles, laughter, plenty of energy and lots of fun had by all. We suspect there may be a few very tired students, and adults, by the of the night! 🎶😴
A HUGE thank you to our fabulous Fundraising Committee for making it all happen. From our students, staff and families, thank you for the time, effort and hard work you put in behind the scenes to create such a fantastic night for our school community. ❤️
Great music, great moves, great people…what more could you ask for?
GEPS certainly knows how to party! 🎉 🪩
