Upcoming Brigade Meeting – Saturday 14 November 2026

Our next brigade meeting is coming up, and we look forward to catching up with our members and welcoming community members interested in learning more about the brigade.

What's happening?
- 9:00 am – General Meeting
- Following the meeting – BBQ and a chance to catch up
- Short Training Session – Members only**

**FIRE PERMITS – IMPORTANT COMMUNITY REMINDER**

Community members can now request a Permit to Light Fire through Darren, our local Fire Warden, for properties within his authorised area.

Under Queensland Fire Department requirements, a permit is generally required when the material being burned exceeds 2 metres in height, width OR length.

Remember:
- Exceeding 2 metres in just ONE dimension can mean a permit is required.
- Fire permits are FREE.
- Always check current fire bans and restrictions before lighting a fire.
- Council local laws and permit conditions may also apply.

Not sure whether you need a permit? Contact your local Fire Warden before lighting up.

Today, on the 10th day of the 10th month, the Gaeta Rural Fire Brigade honours the firefighters who gave their lives protecting their communities.

We remember their courage, and we hold their families in our thoughts.

To the volunteers who stepped up last season, and the families who supported them, thank you. It asked a lot of you, and we’re grateful you were there.
