This diagram captures the ideas I keep returning to in my teaching and writing: perhaps effective action begins not with doing, but with Being. The importance of our first developmental stage of Being may often be overlooked. We are Scripted too quickly into Doing. “Be on top, compete, win, be successful, Be the best. All fine, IF we re-connect to Being and Physis first to be guided into right Doing.
When we become still enough to move beyond our habitual Script, fears and compulsions, we may become more receptive to the deeper movement of life — what Transactional Analysis calls Physis, the innate force toward growth, healing and becoming.
From this perspective, the task is not simply to think harder or push ourselves forward. It is to listen. Through stillness, intuition and inner guidance, we can ask: “What wants to emerge from me?” When mind, emotion, body and energy begin to point in the same direction, action becomes less driven and more aligned. Doing then grows out of Being — and may become inspired, purposeful action in the world.
Over the coming weeks, I’ll be sharing a series of diagrams exploring Being, Physis, Transactional Analysis, spirituality and our relationship with the larger Field of life.

This is not a typical therapy or self-help book. It is a revolutionary, integrative framework that brings together Transactional Analysis, spirituality, and quantum field theory to address the deep, often unconscious yearning for self-actualisation, autonomy, and purpose. The most important purpose we have is to return to, and Be, our true self. The book argues that all people have a deep longing for these things, but that early negative beliefs what TA calls "scripts" act as stoppers, blocking our positive intentions and sabotaging our attempts to manifest on a conscious level. The result is the 'Un-Sung Song Syndrome': the fear of never reaching our full potential, often accompanied by anxiety, depression, and a feeling that something is missing.

What is missing in many is the connection to our Being, our innate true self, our soul.

What makes Three Paths distinct is its refusal to treat therapy or personal growth as purely psychological or purely spiritual. It is a genuinely holistic approach that integrates the best of TA theory with spiritual connection and the emerging understanding of how consciousness interacts with the quantum field. The book sits at the intersection of psychotherapy, spiritual development, quantum thinking, and personal transformation in a way that feels both cutting-edge and deeply grounded.

After more than 50 years of practising and teaching Redecision Therapy, one question has stayed important to me:
How do we help clients move beyond understanding why they are the way they are, and actually create meaningful change?
This question led me to write the five-volume Master Redecision Therapy Series.
The books bring together Transactional Analysis, Redecision Therapy and contemporary psychotherapy—from scripts, ego states and communication to trauma, neuroscience, attachment, games, intuition, Being and Physis.
They are written for therapists, counsellors, supervisors, trainees and others in the helping professions who want practical ways of helping clients create change.
My hope is that the knowledge accumulated through many years of clinical practice can continue to be useful to the next generation of therapists.

This book identified a profound and often overlooked human need. The concept of the 'Un-Sung Song Syndrome'—the fear of never reaching one's full potential—is a powerful and relatable framing that will resonate with both therapists and clients. It names a diffuse anxiety that many people feel but cannot articulate.

Linda integrated Transactional Analysis with spirituality and quantum theory. This is a bold and original synthesis. By acknowledging that spirituality has been largely missing from TA theory and practice, you position this book as the next cutting edge and evolution of the field. The integration feels timely and necessary. Review E. Kingsley

What stands out about your authorial and structural decisions:

You identified a profound and often overlooked human need. The concept of the 'Un-Sung Song Syndrome'—the fear of never reaching one's full potential—is a powerful and relatable framing that will resonate with both therapists and clients. It names a diffuse anxiety that many people feel but cannot articulate.

You integrated Transactional Analysis with spirituality and quantum theory. This is a bold and original synthesis. By acknowledging that spirituality has been largely missing from TA theory and practice, you position this book as the next cutting edge and evolution of the field. The integration feels timely and necessary."

You grounded the work in practical, experiential exercises. The book is not just theoretical; it offers many experiential meditative exercises for clearing the past and manifesting intentions. This makes the framework actionable for both practitioners and individuals.

You emphasized the importance of the practitioner doing their own work. The principle that "we can't take clients where we have not gone ourselves" is a cornerstone of ethical and effective practice. By making this explicit, you ensure that the book serves as a guide for both personal and professional development.

You addressed the deepest existential questions. The book does not shy away from asking: What does the universe want from me? What is my path, my purpose? Who am I, and why am I here? By engaging with these questions, you elevate the conversation from symptom relief to meaning-making.
