This morning the Freeling community paused to remember the courage, sacrifice and mateship of all who have served and who continue to serve.

Fantastic to see the next generation through especially our Freeling CFS Cadets who respectfully laid a wreath.

Thank you to the brigade members who jumped on tongs and cooked breakfast for the Freeling RSL.

Lest We Forget

You are warmly invited to join us in sharing a traditional ANZAC Day Gunfire Breakfast following the Dawn Service.

The breakfast will be generously provided by the Freeling RSL, with the valued support of the Brigade, held at the Freeling Institute.

All members of the community are welcome to attend and come together in the spirit of remembrance and mateship. This is a day to honour and remember those past and present who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

We will remember them.

Your kindness and generosity truly mean more than words can express.
Knowing that our volunteers are supported and appreciated by members of the community like you lifts our spirits and reminds us why we do what we do. The time, care, and thought you put into this gesture did not go unnoticed.
It brought smiles, warmth, and a real sense of encouragement to everyone here.

Yesterday, the Freeling community came together to reflect on 10 years since the Pinery Fire - a 210,000-acre scrub and farmland fire that tragically claimed the lives of two people. Many in our district still carry the emotional scars of that day, and your presence, support, and compassion mean more than words can express.

A special thank you to Rhiannon Pearce MP (SA Emergency Services Minister), Brett Lachlan (CFS Chief), Penny Pratt MP (Member for Frome), and Jessica Adamson for leading and supporting yesterdays event.

Tomorrow marks the anniversary.
