🔥 The BBQ was fired up at Bunnings Frankston as Street Peace teamed up with Rotary Peninsula 2.0 for a fantastic community fundraiser!

Our young people were running the show — serving up snags, connecting with the community, and confidently sharing their stories about what Street Peace me@ans to them and the positive impact it has had on their lives.

Every snag sold helps Street Peace continue walking alongside local young people, creating pathways to hope, purpose, and lasting change.

Street Peace is a not-for-profit, faith-based organisation dedicated to providing opportunities, support, and encouragement for disengaged youth.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, grabbed a sausage, and supported our young people.
Your support makes a real difference. 🌭 💙

National Volunteer Week, Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering, was proudly recognised by Frankston City Council with a Volunteer Celebration Afternoon Tea at Functions by the Bay, Frankston.

The event acknowledged and thanked the incredible volunteers whose time, dedication, and talents help create stronger, more connected communities. National Volunteer Week is an important opportunity to recognise the millions of volunteers across Australia who make a meaningful difference every day.

The celebration was attended by the Mayor of Frankston City Council, Council CEO, Councillors, Council staff, and special guest speaker, The Hon. Milton Dick MP, Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Mr Dick shared a national perspective on the importance of volunteerism and the vital role volunteers play in building strong, resilient communities. His insights helped make the afternoon both memorable and meaningful.

The event also provided a wonderful opportunity for volunteers to relax, connect with fellow volunteers and community leaders, and be recognised for the invaluable contribution they make in supporting the Frankston community.

🏆 Victorian Mother of the Year for 2026
Georgia Hocking
One of the founders of - It's okay, not to be okay

Georgia and her sisters spent nearly a decade turning grief into purpose after losing their beautiful brother Ben to su***de in 2016.
What started from heartbreak has grown into conversations, workshops, connection, and support across schools, workplaces, and sporting clubs.
Georgia is incredibly proud, humbled, and a little shocked.
Congratulations Georgia

🚧 Beach St Overpass & Frankston Freeway Update 🚧
Today we met with our State Government representative, Paul Edbrooke, and came away feeling positive about the future of the Beach Street overpass rejuvenation project.
👉 Key takeaways from the meeting:
✅ The rejuvenation of the Beach Street overpass is included in State Government plans, with a focus on:
• Cleaning up the ugly panels
• Removing graffiti and weeds
• Creating a more welcoming entrance to Frankston
✅ Funding has been allocated in the budget and is now awaiting final sign-off for the Beach Street overpass project.
✅ The Government has shown a willingness to work with Council on tackling graffiti issues more broadly across the area.
✅ Proposed works would likely take place overnight to minimise disruption and freeway closures.
🎨 A major part of the proposal is to create community artwork by engaging local school students, street artists, and Frankston Council to help transform the space into something the community can be proud of.

We’ll continue to keep everyone updated as more details come to light.
In the meantime, it’s important we all keep the pressure on State Government. Community support will help keep this project moving forward.
Please consider emailing or contacting Paul Edbrooke’s office to ask that the Beach Street overpass rejuvenation be completed as soon as possible.
♥️ where we live… Frankston
Thanks Garry & Hans.

A very disappointing experience Dealing with John Walsh at Aquire Real Estate Seaford was unacceptable.
Our offer on a property was accepted on Wednesday, and the contract was sent Thursday while we were actively arranging the deposit and signing. By Friday, we received a brief SMS stating the property had been sold to someone else — with no phone call and no courtesy.
To have a property sold out from under us after acceptance felt unfair and deeply unprofessional. When I raised the issue, the response I received was dismissive and confrontational, including “I wouldn’t want to work for you,” followed by further messages that lacked care, accountability, or basic respect.
This experience showed a clear lack of integrity, empathy, and professionalism. Buying a home is a significant and personal process — Buyers deserve basic courtesy and honesty — neither were shown here.

We will be taking our business elsewhere.
Definitely not dealing with John Walsh or Aquire Real Estate again.
