The school canteen will be open tomorrow, Friday 12th June, with delicious 'Veggie & Ham fried Rice' our Friday special. If fried rice is not your fancy, the are lots of other yummy options also available, so something for everyone is on offer!

Orders for lunch can be placed via the QKR App up until 8:45am tomorrow morning, however we do recommend you place your order earlier to avoid congestion on the app.

If your child is absent and a lunch order has been placed, please remember to contact the office first thing in the morning to enable the lunch order to be held over to a future date.

The Device is Winning, Parents are exhausted!
What is happening to my child?
The Brain Science Every Parent Needs to Hear

Constant battles, obsession & emotional explosions may not be defiance. The meltdowns.
The begging for “just five more minutes.”

The constant pull back to screens, junk food, scrolling, gaming, and dopamine hits.

If you’ve ever wondered:
“What is happening to my child?”
You are not alone.

Institute of Child Psychology: In this powerful 2-part episode of The Child Psych Podcast, Tammy Schamuhn sits down with science journalist and bestselling author Dr. Michaeleen Doucleff to unpack what is really happening inside children’s brains in the age of screens and ultra-processed foods.

These episodes are not about blame or shame.
They are about understanding why children become so emotionally attached to devices… why limits can trigger explosive reactions… and what parents can actually do to help without constant power struggles.

You’ll learn:
• Why dopamine is NOT just the “pleasure chemical”
• Why children crave more even when screens stop making them happy
• How technology impacts motivation, attention, emotions, and behaviour
• Why parenting can feel harder than ever right now
• Practical ways to reduce conflict and reconnect with your child

Most importantly, these conversations offer something so many parents desperately need right now: Hope.
