History
A Telecentre Steering Committee was formed by the Frankland River Development Group in 1998, following a great deal of research and work and with support from the Shire of Cranbrook the Frankland River Telecentre was Incorporated on 26 March 1999. At this time a Telecentre Management Committee was established and qualifying for State Government funding of $10,000 (10 hours per week) the ne

w committee employed Margo Devine as the Coordinator for the Telecentre overseeing the purchase of equipment and furniture to house in the Frankland Hall. The Frankland River Telecentre was officially opened by Hon Monty House JP MLA on 13 November 1999. We qualified as a fully funded Telecentre in late 2000 allowing opening hours to be extended to 20 hours per week. With an understanding passed by Council in 2001 the Telecentre and Library opening hours became combined, giving 30 hours per week for both parties. The Telecentre moved into the new Community Centre in late October 2006 - one week before the official opening of the Community Centre. Through Royalties for Regions funding the Telecentre wages funding was increased to $30,000 in January 2009 and the journey to re-naming and qualifying as a Level 2 CRC began. Managed by Adrian Bridge
Trainees; Susan Tremayne and Rebbecca Ettridge
