The School of Arts Hall was built in 1911. Over the years the Hall has been home to many varied events and organisations. It was home to CWA; Junior Farmers; Forest Hill Football Club; National Fitness Club;Forest Hill Sports Club; Indoor Bowls (1961 to present) and Art class (1982 to present) . The hall was also used for Boxing Tournaments in the 1930’s; Town Library 1918-1961, Electoral Office a
nd this year an evacuation point and community relief centre during the January floods. The longest annual booking has been that of the Forest Hill Argyle Lodge who has held their annual dinner. Presently the Hall is used weekly/monthly for various meetings; a local art group; an indoor bowls group; Line Dancing and Zumba and also used for reunions; parties; weddings; and other school and community functions.
