✨ One of the best things about libraries? Getting to hear directly from the people who write the stories we love.
A huge thank you to Tricia Stringer for a wonderful afternoon at Ngutungka Henley. Judging by the turnout, we're not the only ones who enjoyed it!

Did you know that when chatting with little ones, fewer questions and more comments can help build confidence and language skills?

Next time you're sharing a book, drawing, building or playing together, try making four comments for every question you ask:

📚 "I wonder what might happen next in this story." 🏰 "You've built such a tall tower!" 🎨 "I love the colours you've chosen." 🚗 "That car is speeding around the track, vroom, vroom!"

These simple conversations help children hear new words, explore different sentence structures, and share their ideas without feeling put on the spot.

Every chat, story and shared moment helps build a love of language and learning.
