With our fundraising reaching $15k, yesterday Mr Steel and Mr Dixon stepped up to be slimed as part of the fun, and what fun it was! Thank you both for being so committed to our school.
The next goal is $20K on or before 18 September. If we reach it we will slime our Principal, Miss Jones.

What does it take to be a Dragon? Yesterday, our Boys and Girls Touch Football teams and Mr. Steel visited the new St George Illawarra Dragons training facility! It was amazing to see all the planning and data used to compete at the highest level in the NRL

🌟 1/2 Wuri have had a busy start to Term 3! 🌟
We have learnt to write complex sentences and applied our knowledge to create persuasive paragraphs about why plastic pollution is harmful to our ocean animals. Our writers are passionate about protecting the environment and have taken initiative to clean up our playground and stop rubbish from reaching the ocean! In Maths, we investigated picture graphs and discovered how data can tell a story. We have also explored coding and the Dashbots, using the Blockly App to write algorithms. Our class loves learning together and trying new things!

The Mount Ousley Public School Year 6 students are running a fundraising BBQ and Cake Stall TODAY, Saturday 8th August, at Bunnings Bellambi!

Come down, grab a delicious sausage sizzle, homemade sweet treat or cold drink, and help support our Year 6 kids.

Congratulations to the many students who represented our school at the CWPSSA District Athletics Carnival last week.

Congratulations to the following students who placed in events-

* Isaac- 1st 100m, 2nd 200m, 1st long jump, 1st shot put, 2nd discus and 3rd high jump. Isaac was also the District Junior Boys Age Champion!

* Jonne- 1st high jump, 2nd 800m

* Zion- 2nd shot put

* Zara C- 2nd 200m, 3rd 100m

Good luck to Zara C, Isaac, Zion and Jonne who have progressed through to the South Coast Regional Athletics Carnival to be held in September!
