Our Swimming Program operates all year round, including School Holidays. We will just take a short break between Christmas and New Years.

We will break from the 24th of December 2025 to the 1st of January 2026. This means our final day for the year will be Tuesday the 23rd of December 2025 & the first day back in the new year will be Friday the 2nd of January 2026.

Everton Park Sharks - Amateur Swimming Club & Codie Grimsey

Everton Park Sharks - Amateur Swimming Club meets every Friday night from 5.30pm for 'Club Nights' in Terms 1 and 4 each year. Coach Codie has already been to a handful of these and they are a HEAP of fun. Codie is planning on going to most of these Friday night club nights and we encourage you to sign up your family and bring your children along too, especially if they are in our Blue Fin Level or Higher.

Children who attend will learn important racing skills, get to race their peers and most importantly make new friends!

Thank you so much for your support over the last 4.5 years.

We have really loved working at Samford and with its lovely community, but sadly our lease period (of the school pool) has ended and we have decided that we will not reapply for the tender.

// POOL REOPENING - 3pm Tuesday 11th June //

Hi Everyone,

Following on from our recent post (below) RE the Samford Swimming Pool temporary Closure, we have been advised that the pole will be removed tomorrow morning (Tuesday 11th June). This means that we can re-open again at 3pm tomorrow afternoon, for business as usual.

Public Swimming and Swim Lessons will resume as usual from 3pm tomorrow (Tuesday).

Sorry again for the inconvenience of this and thank you for your understanding.

// POOL CLOSED //

Unfortunately due to a structural issue with one of the big light poles in the Aquatic Complex. The Samford Pool has been closed (effective immediately), until the pole can safely be removed.

We should find out more information as to exactly when the pole can be removed, and we will let you know when we know more info. At this stage the pool will definitely stay closed until Monday night (10th June).

So unfortunately that means no public swimming & all lessons for this afternoon, this weekend, and this Monday will be canceled.

The Samford Pool will reopen at 3.15pm today, and lessons continue as usual.

Update 5am:

Due to localised flooding and road closures around Moreton Bay, the Samford Pool will be closed this morning.

We are hoping to reopen today from 3.15pm.
