Eton Rural Fire Brigade

Eton Rural Fire Brigade Eton Rural Fire Brigade is located between Walkerston and Nebo. We are a very active brigade and always looking for support members and firefighters.

With the days heating up and the ground drying out, landholders are wanting to burn off.

All fires over 2m in any direction require a permit.

Permits are free.

In rural Queensland the use of fire is controlled through the volunteer Fire Warden network.

Remember, if you live in an urban or rural fringe community, the Fire Warden could be your local fire station.

The Fire Warden’s role includes:
-granting or rejecting applications for permit to light fire
-determining the conditions under which permitted fires can be lit
-advising owners and occupiers of the need for fuel and hazard reduction
-recommending safety precautions for the protection of homes and assets.

Come and support a great ‘Local’ business this Saturday. We will have 2 of our appliances on display at this event. Come check it out!

Not long now until our first event at Brightly Sunflowers - Sunflower Family Day!

We have MAD Animal Addiction with the farm animal petting zoo, Cheeky Squiggles is on face painting and glitter tattoos. Climb in the Eton Rural Fire Brigade fire trucks as well as our farm machinery. Rubie Rush and Crave Mobile Cafe will keep you cool, calm and fed with ice cold drinks, coffee, ice cream and sweets!

We also have Lori from Indigo Blue Photography roaming the field to take your professional photos too!

Don't forget if you're going to do some 'pick-your-own' sunflowers to bring your scissors/secateurs and a bucket or basket! Flowers are $2 per stem.

Please remember it's an outdoor event so we recommend closed in shoes, hats and sunscreen.

There is STRICTLY NO SMOKING on our property - this is our farm and our home, please be respectful.

Friendly, well behaved dogs ON LEASH are welcome as long as they are sociable with people, kids and other dogs.

We're so excited to have you join us again - see you soon!!!

Thank you to all RFSQ members who gave up their time on a Sunday morning to see some of the new safety features that we may see on new firefighting appliances in future builds. Also a big thank you to Jim Besgrove for taking the time out of his busy schedule to stop in at Eton RFB so our area’s volunteers could see this amazing rig.
