📢 Upcoming temporary library closures 📢

🚩 Esk Library will be closed from 12pm Thursday, 21 May to 12pm Monday, 25 May to allow for some exciting refurbishments.

The upgraded space will include new work and study areas, a larger children’s space and new comfortable seating. These improvements follow feedback from the Somerset Libraries Community Feedback Survey earlier this year.

🚩 In addition to the Esk Library closure, ALL Council Libraries will be closed on Friday 22 May for team training.

Thank you for your patience while we work to improve our services for the community. 📚

Each session focuses on a key aspect of caregiving and the importance of supporting yourself, with optional 1:1 guidance. You’ll learn practical strategies, connect with others caring for loved ones with mental health challenges, and benefit from facilitator Cheryl Mascali from Arafmi. Open to both new and experienced carers, the sessions offer space to share, reflect, and build skills. Arafmi—Queensland’s peak body for unpaid mental health carers—provides free services including a 24/7 support line, workshops, respite, and advocacy.
