Congratulations to our athletics team on a fantastic day at Casey Athletics Track on Monday. Our students achieved 12 event victories across a wide range of track and field events, as well as many 2nds and 3rds!

It was a highly successful day, with all students representing Gleneagles with determination, sportsmanship and school pride. Well done to everyone who competed, and good luck to those progressing to the SMR Athletics Championships!

Last Thursday our Year 11 and 12 VM students took part in the Rising Chefs Dining Experience, creating an impressive three-course meal of pumpkin soup, lasagna and sticky date pudding.

The students worked incredibly hard to prepare and serve the meal in a professional restaurant-style setting. This was a wonderful opportunity for them to showcase their skills and put their learning into practice, providing their guests with a wonderful dining experience. They did an amazing job!

Congratulations to our Intermediate Boys Soccer team who won the SSV State Championship!

The boys didn’t concede a goal all day, and scored a last minute goal in the final minutes of the grand final to defeat their opponents (from Wodonga) 1-0.
The team were also awarded the “Spirit of Sport" Award which was voted by the other schools competing and the referees.

Big thanks to their coach Mr Abdullah Mitri who has done a fantastic job preparing and supporting the boys this year, and to Ms Cheyenne Montebello for her support over the competition days. Thank you also to all the parents who came down and cheered the team on.

Well done team, we are all very proud of you.

Last night's Variety Night Performance was everything we hoped for - and then some! Our students brought the music, the energy and the heart.
We couldn't be prouder of all the hard work and dedication they showed.

Our Year 10 History students recently visited the Melbourne Holocaust Museum as part of their study of World War II and the Holocaust.

Students explored the museum with volunteers from the Jewish community, listened to recorded Holocaust survivor testimony, and examined artefacts from the time. It was a valuable opportunity for students to connect their classroom learning with real stories, experiences and historical evidence.

A meaningful and memorable learning experience for our students.

Congratulations to the cast and crew of our 2026 school production, “Escape from Coconut Island”. Your dedication and hard work throughout rehearsals and performances were evident, and the final result was something you should all be incredibly proud of.

A huge thank you to the staff, families and volunteers who supported the production behind the scenes. A fantastic achievement by everyone involved and a wonderful showcase of our talented students.

What an incredible opportunity for our Year 11 student George Griffiths!

Last week George was among a select group of Indigenous students from Years 10–12 invited to attend the NRL Careers Expo - and not only did he represent our school on the day, but he was also chosen to deliver the Welcome to Country at the opening of the event. We are very proud.

Our High Achievers Science Program has begun, welcoming a group of enthusiastic primary school students who were selected to participate.

During their first session, students explored the science behind bubbles, investigating how surface tension and different variables affect bubble formation. They showed great curiosity, asked thoughtful questions, and eagerly participated in hands-on activities.

Over the coming weeks, students will continue to develop their scientific inquiry and investigation skills through engaging experiments and collaborative problem-solving challenges.

A big congratulations to the Intermediate Boys Soccer team for winning the regional finals on Tuesday. Students played in a competitive spirit, displaying our R.I.S.E values both on and off the pitch.

This win means that the team will now be playing the Victorian State Finals which will be taking place on September 1st. Well done team!
