Our Emerald firefighters are taking part in Movember this year, growing moustaches to raise awareness for men’s mental health, su***de prevention, and cancer research.

It’s a simple gesture that can start important conversations and remind us all to check in on our mates.

Each moustache is a reminder to look out for one another and keep the conversation about men’s health going. Your support helps make that happen.

You can support the team or make a donation through our local Movember page here: https://movember.com/t/emerald-station-65?mc=1

Together, we can make a difference.

Movember, the month formerly known as November, is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men's health.

Much of the state will experience a High Fire Danger Rating this week, including most of southern, central and north west Queensland from Thursday 🔥

If you were considering a burn on your property in the next few days, it would be best to hold off until conditions improve.

Make sure you always check the conditions, keep in touch with your local fire warden and ensure you have a permit before starting a burn.
