📌SPORT NOMINATIONS

Track and Field paperwork have been handed out to students during a meeting in J08 during first break.

All other trials follow the usual process: Eligible students who wish to trial in the below district sporting teams need to see Miss Brennan in the J Block staffroom ASAP to register their information and collect all paperwork.

Trial cost is $20 per nomination and must be paid when nomination is submitted to the office. Only students with previous playing experience in these sports can nominate – these trials are not for inexperienced athletes (including those that have only played once or twice). 🏃INTER-HOUSE ATHLETICS CARNIVAL 2026

The Inter-House Athletics Carnival for 2026 was a great success! Some awesome memories made, some tremendous records broken and some amazing house spirit all around 🌟

CONGRATULATIONS to TOPAZ House for taking out the cup 🏆 yet again; with an even bigger congratulations extended to all students who qualified for the next round of competition. All students who were present and involved on the day made a huge difference to how the day played out and should be proud of how they represented their houses.

A massive THANK YOU to all staff who supported Emily Brennan in facilitating the day, your hard work does not go unnoticed!

👩‍🎓CQUNIVERSITY CAREER TASTERS PROGRAM

Information has been sent home regarding the CQUniversity Career Tasters Program, a fantastic opportunity for eligible Year 10 students to gain hands-on experience in vocational industries.

Upcoming programs available in Emerald include:
Health and Support Practices – commencing 13 July 2026
Machining and Fabrication Fundamentals – commencing 27 July 2026
These FREE 5-Day programs provide valuable industry exposure and a Certificate of Participation upon completion.

🏈ROCKHAMPTON RUGBY LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

In week 7 our open girls rugby league team travelled to Rockhampton to compete in the Rockhampton round of the Karyn Murphy Cup. Our girls performed extremely well and won the day!

They now have the opportunity to travel to Townsville next term to compete in the next round of the competition. WELL DONE Girls!!

🏈TOUCH FOOTBALL FINALS

Recently one of our mixed touch football teams competed in their Grand Final in the local touch football competition. They played hard but unfortunately went down in a tight contest. It was a fantastic season of touch football for our teams, and we are looking forward to another successful season next term! Thank you very much to our touch football coaches, Ms Deighton and Ms Waugh, for giving up their Monday nights to coach our teams.
