1 June is the the first day of winter and Smoke Alarm Action Day.
Use it as your reminder to test your smoke alarms and make sure they’re working properly.

It only takes a minute, and it could save your life. A working smoke alarm can halve the risk of death in a house fire and is one of the simplest ways to protect your home and family.

❤️ National Volunteer Week is a chance to thank not just our CFA members, but ALL the volunteers who make our community stronger.
🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️ This year’s theme is ‘Your Year to Volunteer’, and it’s also a timely reminder that there’s never been a more important time to get involved.
The recent devastating fires, which came close to impacting our own township and heavily affected others, showed just how much we rely on volunteers – and why we NEED more people to step up, give us a hand and help share the load.
Join the CFA and be part of something that genuinely makes a difference.
If you are interested in joining the Eildon Fire Brigade, we are holding an Information Session this Sunday 24th May 2026 at 10am at the Station. Come down and have a chat with us.

To celebrate International Day for Women in Maritime, we’re spotlighting the women of Victoria’s Marine Search and Rescue and the important role they play in keeping people safe on the water.
Eildon Fire Brigade has the only CFA marine search and rescue appliance. The primary role of the fire boat is firefighting and the secondary role is to provide support to other emergency service agencies - Ambulance Victoria, Victoria Police, Water Police, SES and Forest Fire Management Victoria.

In December 1998, five CFA (Country Fire Authority) firefighters lost their lives fighting a bushfire in Linton, 150km west of Melbourne.
This tragic event rocked the firefighting community. To recognise the sacrifice of those firefighters, and the work of firefighters around the world, International Firefighters' Day was established in 1999.
The date, 4 May, was chosen to coincide with St Florian's Day - the patron saint of firefighters.
Day and night - in the heat, cold or rain - firefighters answer the call to assist our communities every day of the year.
Today, we're thinking about what they give up to protect lives and property.
Thank you CFA (Country Fire Authority), Forest Fire Management Victoria and Fire Rescue Victoria for everything you do to help keep Victorians safe ❤️💙

ANZAC DAY SERVICE🕯️

The Eildon Fire Brigade members were proud to attend Anzac Day service in Eildon today with a large turnout from the community and visitors.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them.”
