Congratulations to past Eglinton students Blake and Ivy. You will make great SRC leaders.

Congratulations to Our Newly Elected Year 7 SRC Representatives at Bathurst High Campus!

At last Tuesday’s assembly, Bathurst High Campus proudly welcomed the new Year 7 representatives to the Student Representative Council (SRC). School Principal Ken Barwick OAM presented certificates and badges to Blake Wharton (7P), Addy Maskill (7C), Mikayla Clarke (7G), Kiara Sutton (7P), and Ivy Maggs-Garland (7S), officially marking the start of their SRC journey. The election saw an enthusiastic response, with 113 Year 7 students casting their votes—an impressive level of participation that highlights the strong spirit and engagement within the year group. A diverse group of nominees offered a great spread of candidates, making the selection process both exciting and competitive. Following the presentations, the newly elected representatives mingled with SRC members from other year groups, discussing the exciting events and activities planned for the upcoming terms at Bathurst High.
This exchange of ideas underlines the SRC’s vital role in fostering student voice and involvement across the school community. Student Support Officer and SRC Coordinator Cecilia Maloney shared further details about the process, noting that these representatives will serve for the remainder of Terms 2 and 3. At the end of Term 3, all SRC positions will be declared vacant, with a fresh call for nominations for the 2027 SRC. Cecilia encourages students who were not elected this time to consider nominating again and to stay actively engaged by contributing suggestions and assisting with SRC events and activities. We extend our warm congratulations to Blake, Addy, Mikayla, Kiara, and Ivy on their new roles. We look forward to seeing their contributions to making Bathurst High an even more vibrant and inclusive place for all students! Stay tuned for more updates from the SRC!

Happy International Day of Play! 🌍✨

Yesterday, students and staff put their pencils down and enjoyed some extra playtime to celebrate, focusing on this year’s theme: Protect Play, Protect Childhood. Play is more than just fun — it’s a universal language and a powerful tool for growth, helping build creativity, problem-solving skills, resilience, and emotional well-being. Students participated in indoor and outdoor games, building social skills, fine and gross motor skills, and communication—all while playing their way!
