In the lead-up to Council elections on 26 October 2024, the Campaspe Shire Council is in Caretaker Period from 12 noon on Tuesday 17 September 2024 until 6pm on Saturday 26 October 2024.

During this period, to comply with our Election Period Policy and the Local Government Act 2020, communications activity will be restricted.

📣We’re thrilled to announce the Echuca Aerodrome has reopened following the completion of the major upgrade works! The project has successfully:

✈️ Extended and widened the runway to accommodate emergency services aircrafts
✈️ Expanded the apron towards the Terminal building for better access.
✈️ Increased the strength of the taxiway and apron pavements.
✈️ Constructed a landside aeromedical shelter for efficient patient transfer.
✈️ Upgraded the lighting for improved visibility.
✈️ Built a new helipad and reconstructed the main runway to support the heaviest aeromedical service aircraft.

🚁🚑This significant enhancement partly funded by the federal government’s Regional Airports Program ensures the Echuca Aerodrome meets important emergency services needs.

📢 Heads up, Rochester residents! 📢 Starting early to mid-August, Rotary Park on Moore Street will undergo some exciting improvements. Here’s what to expect:

🛠️ Stage 1: A new concrete footpath will be laid out, connecting the new amenities to the park gate, ensuring continued access during the next stages.
🛠️ Stage 2: We’re renewing the kerb and gutter around the entire site.
🛠️ Stage 3: The carpark is getting a makeover, complete with two off-street accessible parking spaces.

📆We are aiming for a six-week completion timeline. Don’t worry, Wirima Play Space and amenities will remain accessible, with signage to guide you around the work areas.🚧
