Eaglehawk Secondary College is a Year 7 to 10 school that prepares students for Years 11 and 12, further study or the workforce. The College has a student population of around 600 students who live in Eaglehawk, Bendigo and adjacent rural communities.

YEAR 10 STUDENTS – BSSC CAMBODIA EXPEDITION INFORMATION SESSION

Are you a Year 10 student planning to attend Bendigo Senior Secondary College (BSSC) in 2027? This is an exciting opportunity to learn more about the BSSC Cambodia Expedition!

Students interested in taking part are invited to attend an Information Session at BSSC on Tuesday 8 September. The session will provide more information about the expedition, including what the experience involves, what students can expect, and how to get involved.

SPORTS COLOURS DAY

Get ready to show your sporting spirit at our Sports Colours Day on Thursday 17 September!

Student Leadership is running this fundraiser to help raise money for new sporting equipment and facilities at Eaglehawk Secondary College.

To celebrate, we’ll be offering a special lunch for students and staff, with pies, gluten-free pies, hot dogs and Nippy’s milks available to order through QKR.

Important ordering information:
QKR orders open Monday 24 August
Orders close Wednesday 9 September
Gluten-free pies will be available for those who require them
The canteen will be lunch only on Sports Colours Day and will be closed at recess
There will be no other menu items available

If you haven’t placed an order through QKR, you will not be able to purchase lunch on the day.

Make sure you get your order in before the cut-off and come dressed in your favourite sporting colours!

PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS

Parent Teacher Interviews will be held on Thursday 17th September from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and Friday 18th September from 8:30am until 12:00pm. Thursday will be a regular school day that finishes at 3:10pm and Friday will be a Student Free Day (no classes).

Bookings can be made via Compass (opens at 6:00pm on Monday 7th September 2026) or by contacting the General Office on 5446 8099.

With just two weeks remaining in Term 3, it is fantastic to see so many of our students continuing to put in the hard work, show commitment to their learning and demonstrate our CORE Values each and every day.

Our Community Students of the Week are recognised for the positive contributions they make to our school community, their dedication, effort and the way they support and encourage those around them.

BOOK WEEK AND WEAR IT PURPLE DAY

What a wonderful day of celebration at Eaglehawk Secondary College!

Today, we celebrated Book Week 2026, with students and staff bringing plenty of creativity, colour and excitement to the school through their fantastic costumes. At recess, we came together for our Book Week Costume Parade, where Dustin, Gypsy and Keeley were announced as our Best Dressed Students and won a trip to the movies! Fiona was also recognised as our Best Dressed Teacher.

Students then enjoyed a sausage sizzle at lunchtime while continuing to admire everyone’s incredible costumes and celebrate the joy of books and storytelling.

Alongside our Book Week celebrations, we also recognised Wear It Purple Day. Our Wellbeing Team, alongside Mason, delivered an important speech at recess and handed out purple ribbons to students and staff.

It was fantastic to see our school community come together to celebrate creativity, storytelling, inclusion and diversity. Thank you to everyone who dressed up, participated and helped make today such a memorable day!
