A Total Fire Ban has been declared for Southern Region from 2am, Wednesday 4 February until 2am, Thursday 5 February.
A suspension in the issuing of fire permits is in place in the Northern Region from 2am, Wednesday 4 February to 2am, Saturday 7 February.
During the total fire ban period:
β No fires are permitted in the open, including:
β incinerators
β burn-offs
β campfires and fire pots
β wood-fuelled barbecues
βRestrictions apply to:
π΄ Welding, grinding, charring, soldering or gas cutting outdoor must comply with the Tasmania Fire Service Hot Work Guideline
π΄ Harvesting, slashing or other outdoor machinery must comply with the Tasmania Fire Service Machinery Operations Guideline.
π΄ Forestry Operations must comply with the Tasmania Fire Service Forest Operations Guideline
π΄ Commercial outdoor cooking or catering activities must comply with the Tasmania Fire Service Outdoor Oven Guideline

β Any fire permits already issued for this period are cancelled, as conditions will be unsafe for burning.
