At Dunolly Preschool, our caring and dedicated staff strive to create a safe and stimulating play-based learning environment for all children. Our program has a large focus on our outdoor play environment, with the Dunolly Community Garden being established in the grounds in 2012. We have several raised vegie garden wicking beds (as featured in the Earth Garden magazine, Spring 2012) maintained an
d harvested in partnership with the garden members and the children. Cooking activities are regularly included in the program using this produce. All food scraps are saved and shared between our chooks and worm farm. The educational program is based on and delivered in accordance with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) supported by the Early Years Learning Framework.The program is planned on the developmental needs, interests and abilities of each child and is designed to account for individual differences.
