🏉 Footy Fever at Carlton House! 🏉

We don’t just like footy at Carlton House… we take it very seriously — in the most unserious way possible.

Today the place was bursting with colour, team pride and a whole lot of friendly chaos as our die‑hard fans (big and small) rocked their favourite jerseys. There were laughs, playful banter, dramatic team rivalries, and at least three passionate debates about who’s actually going to take out the premiership.

☀️ Sunshine, Splashes of Colour & Pizza‑Powered Fun! 🎨🍕

When the sun is shining at Carlton House, our children and Educators don’t just head outdoors — we practically launch into it!

Today our yard transformed into a mini adventure park with a series of playful “choose‑your‑own‑fun” stations. The children wandered, explored, and followed their curiosity wherever it wanted to go.

At the pizza‑making station, Miss Chantelle and Miss Stacey were busy crafting delicious ham and pineapple pizzas for afternoon tea. The children watched, chatted, and added their own sprinkle of excitement whilst making their own pizzas.

Over at Miss Sarah’s painting corner, little artists mixed colours, experimented with textures, and created masterpieces that would make even the fanciest gallery jealous. Paintbrushes, giggles, and imagination everywhere.

The sandpit was bustling with explorers digging, building, and discovering. Music floated through the yard while Miss Chris showed off her “legendary” dance moves. 😂

Our littlest friends explore their yard by climbing and enjoyed tunnels, swings and ball pit.

And for our movers and shakers, we had balls, hula hoops, and balance boards ready for big jumps, wobbly wiggles, and all the gross motor magic.

A day filled with sunshine, creativity, movement, and joy — just the way we like it at Carlton House. 💛

At Carlton House Childcare and Preschool, we stand united in our commitment to protect every child in our care. Child protection sits at the forefront of our practice, guiding the way we build secure, trusting relationships with children and families. These relationships form the foundation of safety, belonging, and empowerment — ensuring every child’s voice is heard, respected, and celebrated.

Today, our centre turned purple in support of Bravehearts Day, shining a light on the importance of child protection across Australia. We encouraged our children to be brave, to speak up, and to know that the adults around them are always listening. Together, we continue to foster a culture where children feel safe, valued, and confident to grow.

💛 R U OK DAY 💛

Today our Carlton House community came together in a sea of yellow to honour R U OK? Day — a day that reminds us of the power of connection, compassion and simply checking in.

R U OK? Day encourages all of us to pause, notice, and reach out to the people in our world who may be finding life a little heavy. It’s a gentle reminder that a small conversation can make a big difference.

Our educators shared meaningful moments together over delicious baked cookies, using that time to check in with one another and make sure our team felt supported.
Our children baked bright, cheerful cupcakes and engaged in simple, heartfelt conversations about feelings and being “okay,” while our babies created beautiful yellow bookmarks to mark the day with joy and colour.

At Carlton House, kindness is woven into everything we do — today was a beautiful reminder that even the smallest acts of care can help someone feel seen, heard and valued.

🍓 SENSORY PLAY WITH JELLY 🍓

Our Wattle children enjoyed a wonderful sensory experience today with Miss Sasha, exploring the colours, textures and wobbly fun of jelly. Using their hands, scoops and curious minds, the children engaged in rich sensory learning that supported multiple learning outcomes.

This sensory invitation was joyful, messy and full of meaningful learning—exactly the kind of experience that nurtures curiosity, confidence and connection in our Wattle room.

🔵 DOLLAR FOR DUSTY WALK 🔵

If you watch the news, then you would have seen this extraordinary young man named Dusty. Dusty, is walking from Warren to Canberra to raise $1m dollars for Little Wings to help bring more Paediatricians to the West!

Dusty, holds a special place at Carlton House as Dusty and his mum are very close to our own Miss Sarah and her husband Lee. Last week, Lee walked 40 kilometres alongside Dusty and Miss Sarah to help this amazing cause. 💪

I want to walk from Warren to Canberra to raise funds for Little Wings so they can bring more paediatricians to the west and help more kids get the help they deserve.
