Puppets in Action!

This term, French Bulldogs have been exploring the wonderful world of puppets!

We’ve learnt about different types of puppets, including hand puppets, finger puppets, stick puppets and shadow puppets, and discovered how each one can be used to bring a character to life.

After learning about how puppets are designed and operated, the students put their creativity to work and designed and created their very own puppets!

What a way to start a Wednesday!

Yesterday morning, dads, pops and carers joined us in the kitchen garden for a yummy, hot pancake breakfast hosted by the P&C. There were lots of smiles and full bellies!
A huge thank you to Dylan at Riverdale Woolies for the greatly appreciated donation of the food.

We’re excited to welcome Upstage Performing Arts for an action-packed performing arts experience designed to challenge, inspire and extend students through creativity and performance.

Students will sing, dance, act, create and perform, developing confidence, communication, teamwork, creativity and self-expression. The program also provides opportunities to identify, challenge and nurture high-potential and gifted learners (HPGE) through performance, creative thinking and leadership.
With high-energy activities, music, movement, drama and plenty of fun, there’s an opportunity for every child to discover their strengths, challenge themselves and shine!

Sydney Bound 💃🏼🎵

We are incredibly proud of Wynter and Samantha, who have been selected to perform as members of the Western Ensemble at this year’s NSW Department of Education State Dance Festival “Convergence” in Sydney.

They are busy rehearsing in preparation for this exciting opportunity, joining dance ensembles from across NSW to showcase the talent, creativity and dedication of public school students on stage at the Seymour Centre.

What an incredible achievement and opportunity! We congratulate Wynter and Samantha on their commitment and look forward to seeing them shine on the stage. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Small School’s NAIDOC Celebration 🌾

What an incredible honour it was for our students to be invited to contribute to the Small Schools NAIDOC celebrations last week.
Our students assisted in leading a dance workshop, participated in rotations alongside students from other schools and closed the celebrations with a powerful performance. 👣

Throughout the day, they were recognised for their exemplary behaviour, willingness to assist others and the leadership they demonstrated in every aspect of the event.

We are incredibly proud of their commitment, community spirit and growing leadership skills. To be included, trusted and acknowledged in such a meaningful celebration is a privilege and our students embraced every opportunity with pride, respect and enthusiasm. 👏🏻👏🏻

A wonderful reflection of the young people they are becoming.

Thank you, Yindyamarra
