⚠️ | Giving you the heads up!

Swooping season has started early in the Dubbo Region. You’ll notice we’ve already started installing signs to let you know where they’ve been sighted.

Magpies are protected throughout NSW, so keep vigilant and take advice from organisations such as NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water or NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service for your safety.

If you see a magpie swooping in a public space where there isn’t a sign, contact our Customer Experience team in Dubbo or Wellington on 02 6801 4000.

💧 | A big step forward for water sustainability in our region!

We have officially opened the Advanced Wastewater Treatment Plant with Squadron Energy. The new plant allows recycled water to be treated to a quality suitable for construction and dust suppression, helping reduce demand on precious drinking water supplies.

We're also partnering with The University of Newcastle, Australia to explore future uses for the plant, with the goal of using treated water for irrigation during future droughts. By doing so, we can help secure our region's water future and keep potable water available for drinking when it's needed most.
