Mannerim Juniors save the Bin
Not so long ago, our Junior Brigade was at the station when a live firecall came through. While the Seniors rolled out on Tanker 1 to the fire, our Juniors used the call the demonstrate their own skills.
They deciphered the pager message, worked out what gear they needed and leapt into action with Mighty Tanker 2. Listening to live radio calls and discussing tactics, they then made their own in-house calls in parallel. T2 moved out on the concrete and the Juniors were put through their paces with hoses and equipment to effectively rescue the rubbish bin (which apparently was trapped in their simulated fire situation). Thanks to a very effective response from the Juniors, the bins lived to see another day. The future is in good hands.
Spare a thought for our rubbish bins. With a lack of alternative props around they seem to be forever getting themselves into dire situations and need rescuing.
