🐑 Sheep & Goat Producers – eID Workshop Coming to Dowerin 🐐

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is hosting a Sheep and Goat Electronic Identification (eID) Workshop in Dowerin to help prepare for the upcoming changes to livestock identification requirements.

With electronic identification (eID) for sheep and goats becoming a legal requirement from 1 July 2026, this workshop will provide practical information and support to help producers understand what the changes mean for businesses.

Topics will include:
• eID requirements and implementation timelines
• Recording livestock movements
• Demonstration of scanning equipment
• Uploading movements to the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS)
• Question and answer session with DPIRD staff

📅 Wednesday, 1 July 2026
🕙 10.00am – 12.00pm, followed by Q&A
📍 Dowerin Community Resource Centre, 13 Stewart Street, Dowerin

Our next session will be held on 19 June, and all families are warmly welcome! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We’d love for you to visit the children’s library before or after the session and introduce your little ones to borrowing items to enjoy at home. We have a wonderful range of books and DVDs available to borrow, as well as toys and puzzles for children to enjoy while visiting the library.
