π Sheep & Goat Producers β eID Workshop Coming to Dowerin π
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) is hosting a Sheep and Goat Electronic Identification (eID) Workshop in Dowerin to help prepare for the upcoming changes to livestock identification requirements.
With electronic identification (eID) for sheep and goats becoming a legal requirement from 1 July 2026, this workshop will provide practical information and support to help producers understand what the changes mean for businesses.
Topics will include:
β’ eID requirements and implementation timelines
β’ Recording livestock movements
β’ Demonstration of scanning equipment
β’ Uploading movements to the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS)
β’ Question and answer session with DPIRD staff
