ποΈβοΈ After four inspiring months, our inaugural Writer in Residence program has come to a close.
Poet and artist Oormila Vijayakrishnan Prahlad spent her residency creating new work from a studio in the heritage-listed E.J. Ward building. Reflecting on her time with us, Oormila said, "I leave the residency with a significant new body of work, renewed artistic energy, and deep gratitude to Woollahra Libraries, its staff and community for making such opportunities possible."
We're delighted to have welcomed Oormila as our first Writer in Residence and grateful for the creativity, insight and generosity she shared with our community.
Oormila will return to Woollahra Library at Double Bay on Sunday 5 July for a creative zuihitsu workshop, exploring a hybrid poetry and visual art form. Book your place: πhttps://ZuihitsuWorkshop.eventbrite.com.au
Stay tuned as we announce future Woollahra Libraries Writers in Residence!
