Melbourne Star invites you to experience Melbourne in a whole new way. The Star gives you a unique introduction to the city, with all its colour, culture and eccentricities – giving visitors and locals alike a new way to engage with Melbourne’s vibrant cityscape. Close to public transport, with ample car parking available at The District Docklands, Melbourne Star is one of Melbourne’s easiest attr

actions to reach and enjoy. The Melbourne Star welcomes and appreciates posts and reviews from our guests. We do, however reserve the right to remove any posts which contain offensive language.

Watch Fire Rescue Victoria hold a training day at the wheel, and then answer A, B, or C to let us know how much of an adrenaline-junkie you are!

A) I would climb the wheel and then jump out of the cabin.
B) I would not climb the wheel, but I would jump out of the cabin.
C) Nope.

We're back with Jay as he answers one of your most frequently asked questions!

Something you may not know about the Melbourne Star is that the poles go deep into the ground and then connect underneath. To make sure they don't corrode there's something called a Cathodic Protection System that analyses the moisture levels to ensure we keep the steel protected.

The previous Southern Star is not the same wheel as the Melbourne Star you see today (see video), and while bringing the Melbourne Star back to life, we've had every part of the wheel go through Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) performed by experts from all over the country, so we know our wheel is wheely strong 💪
