What's On This Week at Devonport Community House?

We have a few minor changes to our Thursday programs this week.

Unfortunately, Playgroup and Teen-A-Rama will be cancelled this Thursday.

Don't worry though, there's still plenty happening for everyone to enjoy!

🧸 Playhouse will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday for our little ones to play and explore.

🥣 Soup and Play is also on, featuring indoor games and delicious hot soup and rolls.

Plus so much more.

Come along to TANA Talks - a free community event that helps us understand how trauma can affect a child's brain and ways we can help each other.

Presenter Jodhi Gough (a qualified counsellor and experienced facilitator) will present this talk on Tuesday 30th June, 1pm-2:30pm.

It is recommended that only people over the age of 16 attend. Spaces are limited so please give us a call or message to register your interest.

We have had 2 spots become available in our current cooking sessions. These sessions will be held on the 1st July, 15th July and 29th July (Wednesdays). Sessions cost $3 per person per session.

The Devonport Community House is excited to be partnering with the Tasmania Family and Sexual Violence Alliance and Engender Equality to deliver a practical and interactive workshop exploring safe and effective ways to help prevent the abuse of women and children.
Where's Your Line? is a free workshop open to everyone in the community.

Last week at Creative Collective we made 'Life Recipes' where we took a quote that resonated with us and created a collage around that. We used colours and elements that we thought went with the theme. Then we wrote the quote on the front of the card. On the back we wrote notes to ourselves - this might have been why the quote resonated, how we can overcome any issues associated with the quote, or simply to remind ourselves what the quote means.
Give it a try yourself. All you need is some scraps of paper (any kind of paper - newspaper or magazines even) and a glue stick. We'd love to see what you can come up with. 🎨👨‍🎨

Last week in Cook's Corner we made gnocchi - from scratch. It's amazing what you can make with a few spuds, flour and an egg. 🥔🥚🌾
