Teachers from across all of the Devonport schools gathered this morning at DHS for professional learning in the Big Ideas in Number as a part of our shared involvement in the Tasmania Counts Project.

Teachers collaborated on a range of tasks to improve teaching and learning experiences for our students.

This term in Year 10 English students are studying Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. To learn a little bit about parental responsibilities students made their very own potato ‘frankenbabies’ which they are caring for this week.

Every School Day Matters
We love seeing our students at school every day - it's the best place for them to learn, grow and connect. It's a chance to be around their friends, learn new skills, spark their curiosity and have fun.

Self-Care 10 Week Challenge - Week 4

Year 10 Health Careers Program day 27 May 2026.
60 students from the Mersey region attended the Year 10 Health Careers program.
Students explored a range of exciting health career pathways through interactive, hands-on sessions including Emergency Care, Patient Journey, Chronic Diseases, and the Art of Detective Diagnosis.
A huge thank you to the schools for supporting opportunities like this and bringing along such enthusiastic students. We’re also incredibly grateful to our academics and medical students for sharing their knowledge, passion, and time to make the day such a success.
We hope the experience inspired our Year 10 students to consider a future in health careers!
