Happy 100th birthday to Sir David Attenborough.

Sir David Attenborough has devoted his life to exploring, understanding, and sharing the natural world with audiences across the globe. Among his earliest works is ‘Quest Under Capricorn’ (pictured), created after he spent four months travelling through and documenting the NT. The work captures his early fascination with the region’s landscapes, wildlife, and unique environments, offering audiences around the world a window into the Territory in the early 1960s.

Library & Archives NT holds copies of some of Sir David’s earliest publications, including ‘Quest Under Capricorn’, available to view in the Northern Territory Collection at our Darwin City location at Danala.
