This Finke Desert Race weekend, keep the racing on the track, not the road.

Always wear a seatbelt, watch out for pedestrians, and organise a Sober Bob if you’re having a drink.

Enjoy the Finke!

Our team were at the Litchfield Show last weekend talking to the community about how the Department is building, connecting and growing the Territory.

Delivering a future-focused infrastructure network that builds resilience, strengthens connectivity, grows our strategic capability for a thriving economy and improves our Territory lifestyle.

The diversity of projects being discussed ranged from Territory Energy Link, the Adelaide River Off-stream Water Storage project, Middle Arm Precinct, Darwin Ship Lift and the Northern Marine Complex.

Our colleagues from and Water were also there to talk about the Manton Dam return to service and the importance of the Living Water Smart program.

From 29 May 2026, the demerit point penalty for drink and drug driving offences will increase to 6 points.

Increasing penalties aims to deter dangerous driving behaviour, reduce repeat offenders and encourages safer choices behind the wheel.

Make the right choice. Drive like our lives are worth living and keep Territorians safe.

Check how many demerit points you have and what happens when demerit points are recorded on your driver licence and when it expires.
