🚧 Surface repair night work is taking place on Stuart Highway, between Bees Creek Road and Arnhem Highway.

Works will occur on Thursday 4 June and Friday 5 June (7pm-5am).

Stuart Highway will remain open during works with traffic management and signage in place.

ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC: Darwin River VBB and BFNT will be undertaking a prescribed burn, between Letchford road, and Litchfield park road, south of Cox Peninsula road. Its expected that this burn will produce significant smoke, its advised that people sensitive to the effects of smoke plan to be away from this area during the time frame of this burn.

STATUS: UNDER CONTROL - The fire is at a stage where fire fighting resources are only required for patrol purposes and major re-ignition is unlikely.

The Arnhem Highway is CLOSED near the Adelaide River Bridge due to a road train crash.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible as delays are expected.
