George Brown Darwin Botanic Gardens Take a walk through the historic Gardens and experience rainforest, mangroves and open woodlands. Gardens open every day 7am to 7pm.

Highlights include the waterfall, the playground with its tree house, the cafe as well as the self-guided multimedia tree walk. Orientation Centre 8am to 4pm

Kick off your morning from 7am with free pilates, yoga or meditation sessions set amongst the trees, birdsong and beautiful surroundings of the Botanic Gardens. Remember to bring your yoga mat!

Or join us from 9am for a range of stalls, a plant sale, guided walks, kids activities and special presentations from botanic garden staff.

Community Food Garden Tour - guided by the gardeners themselves. A chance to see this wonderful community growing space up close.

History of the Gardens walk - join former Director, Bryan Harty, on a walk exploring the history of the Gardens.

Native plants tour - learn about native plants of the Gardens with local expert and author John Brock.

Plant sale - an incredible selection of plants to take home, grown by the Friends of the Darwin Botanic Gardens.

Join the staff of the Gardens for a great day out and learn about orchids, the Gardens history, native tree walks and the community food garden.

The Friends of the Darwin Botanic Gardens will be selling an assortment of beautiful plants, perfect for bringing a touch of the Gardens into your home.

Kids activities include sand card art, potting up a seed and we will have the creek running for the kid’s playtime.

Don’t forget the Territory Wildlife Park will also be there along with other information stalls and health and wellbeing activities.

See you on Sunday 24 May, from 9am – 12pm.
