Darwin residents, we need your support.

Darwin River Dam stopped operating at 4.30pm today due to substantial flooding of the pump station and associated equipment. The dam wall was not impacted.

This is an unprecedented situation and we have never seen this volume of water in the dam before.

Our crews are working to get the dam operational again using generators but, in the meantime, we need the Darwin community to reduce their water use.

We’re good at pulling together when needed. And we need everyone to pull together now.

We thank you for working together through this event and will keep you updated.
