** Heavy Vehicle Ban - Lifted **

The Heavy Vehicle ban that was imposed on Friday has now been lifted. Drivers are reminded to drive to current road conditions, and to report any debris on the roads to the Shire of West Arthur.

29/05/2026

The Shire of West Arthur is imposing a ban on heavy vehicles and machinery on the Shire’s gravel road network for the duration of this long weekend. This is to minimize the damage to unsealed roads due to predicted severe weather. The ban will be effective from 10am Saturday morning to be reviewed on Tuesday morning in preparation of further weather events predicted for Wednesday. Emergency vehicles are excluded from this ban in the event of an emergency.
