Our Year 9 Drama students recently took part in an engaging workshop focused on performance skills and overcoming stage fright, led by Lyndale alumnus Marco.

Students learned valuable techniques to build confidence, centre themselves before performing, and connect with an audience. Marco also gave our students hands-on experience with stand-up comedy, encouraging them to step outside their comfort zones.

A big thank you to Marco for sharing his time, experience and passion with our students!

We recently welcomed alumnus Marco Liberati (Class of 1989) back to Lyndale to record a podcast episode with our student interviewer and College Captain, Liv H. Now a renowned comedian who hosts his stand-up comedy show 'Tell Us Another One' on channel 31, Marco previously worked as a carpenter, magician, and authored the children's book 'Marco the Magnificent' to help advocate for children with heart disease.

We can't wait to reconnect and highlight more alumni through the podcast. If you know someone who would make a great guest on an upcoming episode, we’d love to hear from you!

Mav was a really engaging speaker, and we were thrilled to have him share insights into his career journey with our Year 12 students.

Our Year 9 students recently attended the South East Careers and Try a Trade Expo. One of the highlights for our students was the variety of hands-on activities available, allowing them to experience different industries and career options firsthand.

"I went to the media booth at the South East Careers Expo and it honestly opened my eyes to how many pathways there are in the industry. They showed us how roles in film and TV production, journalism, and digital content creation all connect, and how different VCE subjects can lead into them. I got to see real equipment, talk to people working in the field, and learn what courses you can take after Year 10. It made the media world feel way more achievable and creative than I expected." - Fia F

"Try-a-trade day turns career planning into a fun, interactive, hands-on game. It also gives us opportunities of what we would like to do in the future. My favourite was the mechanic booth, where we were able to race our friends to see who is better at changing a wheel." - Aden P
