Currie Harbour is a small fishing port situated on the West coast of King Island. It is protected by treacherous reefs that have contributed to their share of the many shipwrecks dotted around King Island. Overlooking the harbour with its small fleet of colourful fishing boats and white sandy beaches is the brilliantly white Currie Lighthouse (the last lighthouse in Australia that has not had its status downgraded to a beacon - and one of a chain of lighthouses and beacons around the island). http://www.lighthouse.net.au/lights/tas/Currie/Currie.htm

The harbour is famous for its glorious sunsets over the sea.
