🌟 Cullen Bullen Public School students had an exciting learning experience at Hampton Public School with Maree and Healthy Harold from Life Education! 🌟

Our K-2 students explored Growing Good Friends, discovering the importance of respectful friendships and how they benefit our wellbeing. Students in Years 3-6 engaged with Friends and Feelings, learning about the importance of checking in with mates.

One of the best parts of these special days is seeing our small schools come together, catching up with friends, and learning from and with each other.

A big thank you to Maree and Healthy Harold from Life Education for helping our students build stronger friendships! 💚🤝

In Red Room, our skill development in English is built around our fluency passage for the week. Mondays involve identifying Tier 2 and Tier 3 vocabulary which then become the focus for word study and spelling for the week.

Class Blue and the ABCs of Australian Animals

This term in Class Blue, we’ve been learning the ABCs of Australian animals with our class book, A is for Australian Animals by Frané Lessac. Students have been exploring informative texts to discover amazing facts about Australian wildlife—one letter at a time!

Our reading has taken us on a journey across Australia. Through our lessons, students explored verbs that describe animal behaviours—such as how bilbies burrow underground—and identified nouns that give details about animals, like the massive saltwater crocodile’s appearance and its habitat in the Daintree Rainforest. These lessons have helped students build vocabulary and deepen their understanding of Australian wildlife.

It’s been wonderful to watch students become animal enthusiasts as they master the ABCs of Australian animals. Well done, Blue Class!

Outstanding work from our K-6 students in visual arts. Students used a variety of materials and techniques to represent subject matter. The study of local national parks was the focus. Their beautiful work is proudly displayed in the school’s main hallway for all who visit to see.

The fluency focus in Red room this week led to students creating a “ How to ….” video. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. 😊

Our students have gained valuable techniques, improved their teamwork, and developed their confidence on the court. Jai has done an outstanding job by creating a positive and encouraging environment, making the sessions both fun and inclusive of all students from K-6 🏀
